"In" как предлог места означает положение в пределах ограниченного пространства:
I'm in the classroom. — Я в классе.
He's in the street. — Он на улице.
Русский предлог "в" может быть переведен на английский разными предлогами.
Они идут в школу. — They are going to school.
Они в аудитории. — They are in the classroom
Они входят в аудиторию. — They are coming into the classroom.
